S&DD HEADQUARTERS
Song and Drama Division is located at Soochna Bhavan, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-3. There are four wings at the Headquarters namely Sound & Light, Armed Forces Entertainment Wing, Policy and Coordination Wing and Administrative Wing.
The Director is the Head of the Department, issue policy directives on publicity matters, aids, helps in preparing new drama and sound and light programmes and exercises over all control and supervision of the Regional Centres and Sub.-Centres.
The Director is assisted by the Joint Director for proper programme control, Deputy Director (Administration) and three Deputy Directors (Programmes), two Assistant Directors and supporting programme, Administrative and technical staff.
In Policy and Coordination, Division deals with all matters concerning personnel and perspective plan of the Division, Parliament questions, follow up action on meetings taken by MIB/Secretary, public complaints, inter-media co-ordination committees, liaison with other sister media of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting; experimental publicity project and compilation of the returns for the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and VIPs etc.
